My car was parked on level 2…
Since I’m not in a photo class this semester, and I just got my own camera (a Canon 60d with a 35mm f/2 lens), I figured I would start a new project/series. I’m not much for new year’s resolutions, and I don’t see the point in waiting to start something until the beginning of the week, beginning of the month, beginning of the year, or what have you. So I’m going to start on a Wednesday, in the last quarter of January.
I’m titling this “The Little Things,” because I’m going to try to document the little (or sometimes big), unnoticed things in life. Who knows how long I’ll be able to stay on this track, because I tend to wander. But the point is I’ll be out shooting, and that’s what matters anyways.
UGA’s student chapter of the NPPA did a Help Portrait shoot on December 10, 2011 in Rock Springs, Athens, Ga. We had so much fun meeting the people and it was a great feeling to be able to provide a unique service to our new friends, many of whom had never had portraits taken before.
I think this has to be my favorite find so far. Mainly, I think, because this old barn had a name. Somehow, that made the history of it even more important to document for me. I’ve been searching around a bit for some actual written records about this place, but so far I haven’t had any luck.
